Nov. 5 2024

Bureau Veritas CPS (BVCPS) Vietnam team is proud to highlight our recent participation in the "To The Finish Line" (TFL) program as one of the trainer. TFL is a program initiated by GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) in collaboration with partnered brands and organizations, fostering Collective Action & Learning for Action on environmental performance improvement in Vietnam’s apparel supply chain based on Cascale’s tool Higg FEM 4.0. With over 20 participating brands, 900+ manufacturers, and 2,100+ learners from both manufacturers and brands, this program serves as a crucial platform for fostering collaboration, sharing expertise, and driving collective action towards a more sustainable future across the industry.

The TFL 2024 program includes sessions that cover the Higg FEM 4.0 and beyond, featuring both basic and highlighted sessions with advanced and deep dive content. These sessions encompass critical topics such as Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Energy and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, Water Use and Waste Water management, Air Emissions, Waste, and Chemicals. These learning sessions will run weekly from September 20 to November 1, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, providing comprehensive insights for industry professionals.

As Ms. Lina Vo, Cascale Higg FEM Approved Trainer and Regional Manager for Analytical Services (BVCPS, SEA), remarked, “Participating in the TFL program allows us to connect with manufacturers and brands in meaningful ways, empowering them to take actionable steps toward sustainability. It’s about creating a community where knowledge is shared and innovation flourishes.

As a leader in the field, Bureau Veritas is dedicated to making meaningful contributions to society by equipping the garment industry with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive sustainably. Join us on this journey towards a greener future, where together we can make a lasting impact.
In addition to our role in TFL, we previously participated as a panelist in the "Waste No More" (WNM) initiative by GIZ, where we supported the Q&A session. Our engagement in this event underscored our commitment to addressing pressing waste management challenges in the garment sector and promoting innovative strategies for a circular economy.

Through our activities, we aim not only to enhance industry standards but also to contribute positively to our communities and the environment. Together, we can shape a sustainable future for the garment industry.
