Starting from July 1, 2024, the Iraqi Quality Mark will be mandatory for all businesses exporting electronic goods to the Iraqi market.
The Iraqi Ministerial Council for Economy issued a decision No. (230339 Q) and a notice under their letter numbered (2311066) on 6/12/2023 requiring from the manufacturers to obtain the Iraqi Quality Mark issued by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC).
Specific household electronic goods imported into Iraq fall under the purview of this regulation, including:
- Household storage electric water heaters,
- Household electric room heaters,
- Household electric refrigeration appliances (refrigerator, refrigerator-freezer and freezer),
- Household air conditioners,
- Electric ovens and
- Electric cigarettes.
